Technologies in Modern Education

TIME is an Institutional cooperation project, in which teachers and students from Menntaskólinn í Kópavogi in Iceland and Gymnazium Teplice in the Czech Republic cooperate within the schol year 2015/16. It is financed from the Scholarship Programme – EEA and Norway Grants.

Participants from both schools use different ICT tools in solving applied science problems and compare their findings. ICT tools and an e-learning platform is used to collaborate. The target of the project is to create five learning modules in natural subjects as a part of optional seminars for students from the seventh form (aged 18 years). It will help and challenge students to improve their knowledge whilst also preparing them for further studies. The exchange of views among the participants will also give rise to the possibility of all participants getting to know other school systems and cultures. The participants will have gained insight into different science issues, cultures and have developed teamwork skills and fostered a sense of responsibility to others.

Supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
